         Sweet I Do's

Surf's up on the North Shore, pumpkins are waiting to be carved and for our mainland friends the changing leaves are a welcome sign that fall is here. For Leighton Lam Designs fall brings our first ever newsletter! We promise to keep it brief, interesting and landing in your inbox just every other month.

Leighton and Kaily (his daughter) will be writing the newsletters and welcome your feedback and suggestions (email Kaily@leightonlam.com). Our newsletters will cover Leighton's latest artistic endeavors, new designs, specials and a variety of other meanderings on Hawaii, jewelry and Leighton's liquid lunch breaks (skip the mimosas, liquid lunch means Leighton's getting a quick surf or SUP session in).

Summer in the islands
A new twist on a classic describes Leighton's latest artistic creations. Taking the popular Hawaiian Nature Collection™ designs Leighton created a new necklace style. Displayed on hand painted cards with the Hawaiian words "Pua Me Aloha" meaning Blossoms with Love or "Kai O Aloha" meaning Oceans of Love, these necklaces are a thoughtful gift for the holidays or a fun treat for yourself. Pua Me Aloha

Surf
One of Leighton's surfing buddies recently commissioned two Surf light boxes for his home. Taking his Surf sconce design, Leighton altered it to create a column fixture. Leighton is calling this new creation the Laniakea lights meaning large skies, broadening horizons. Laniakea is a challenging surf spot on the north shore where honus (green sea turtles) come to rest. All of Leighton's sconce designs can be custom made into column fixtures.www.paradiselights.com

The Go-To Accessory
Classic, simple and ladylike, the pearl is a go-to accessory. Leighton created two new looks for fall. The first look goes for a casual feel with a freshwater pearl on a synthetic silk cord (synthetic = stronger, non-fraying, water resistant). The second look has simple elegance written all over it. AA freshwater pearl pendant on a sterling silver snake chain.

Sweet I Do's
From Vancouver to LA, Kualoa to the North Shore we have had the pleasure of working with brides as they choose the perfect jewelry for their bridesmaids. The elegant bride Shira married her husband Micha this summer in Vancouver. Her bridesmaids wore our soft pink South Seas Shell pearl necklaces and matching earrings. Congratulations Shira & Micha. Hoe He'e Nalu
Stand up paddle surfing started in the islands and is fast becoming a global hobby or for those hard core SUP-ers a sport. From Lake Michigan to Huntington Beach you can spot people with paddle in hand, glidding across the water on 12 foot plus boards. Whether you're visiting the islands or find yourself near a calm body of water we recommend giving this a try. It's a great workout, easy to learn and you get to enjoy the water without getting wet! This is Leighton competing in the annual Cline Mann Memorial Paddleboard Race. Learn more about SUP at Wet Feet Hawaii

Thanks for your article. One other thing is when you are marketing your property by yourself, one of the issues you need to be aware about upfront is when to deal with property inspection reports. As a FSBO seller, the key to successfully moving your property along with saving money about real estate agent profits is expertise. The more you realize, the simpler your property sales effort will be. One area exactly where this is particularly vital is home inspections.
